Great Dane...The Breed

Temperament

The Great Dane is a loving and sensitive dog. Except for an occasional zooming and a good romp the Great Dane is generally a quite breed which makes them ideal house pets. They are usually very elegant and has a beautiful gait. They become very bonded to their people. They are not a dog of solitude they are not meant to be caged or tied out back in the yard because they need to be with their human family. Danes are playful and patient with children; often called a "gentle giant".

Basic Care

Grooming requirements

The coat is easy to groom. A brush with firm bristles will work fine with these babies. Bathing a full grown Dane can be a handful, but fortunately it doesn't have to be done often if daily brushing is done.

The nails of a Dane are easily cared for with a Drimel. Clippers are painful and normally are not easy to work with since the nail become large and thick. If you are needing more information about how to Drimel you Danes nails, please feel free to contact us.
